    Why it ranks
Air-cushion nose pads and a 75 g frame keep these comfortable for hours, and a sharp, bright picture makes films and games feel like a private cinema. Without electronic dimming, bright rooms need the blackout cover, and screen tools for computer work feel limited.
    What people praise
    • Weighs 75 g and rests on air-cushion nose pads
    • Sharp 1080p picture that gets very bright
    • Watching films feels like a private movie theater
    Common complaints
    • No electronic dimming, so bright rooms need the cover
    • Few tools for arranging the screen during computer work

+80Ranking net score+80 from reviews and discussions0 from votes on BettaScore
    19 sources
    Why it ranks
Passes for an ordinary pair of glasses and is light enough for all-day wear, while the heads-up display shows notifications, directions, translation and a teleprompter, with no camera on the frame. Software can feel unfinished, with slow translation and misread touch gestures, and there are no speakers.
    What people praise
    • Hard to tell apart from a regular pair of glasses
    • Comfortable enough to wear the whole day
    • Teleprompter moves to the next line as you speak
    Common complaints
    • Software can be half-baked and unreliable
    • Translation can be too slow and miss words

+66Ranking net score+66 from reviews and discussions0 from votes on BettaScore
    32 sources
    Why it ranks
Flat prism lenses reduce the reflections of earlier models, and the crisp picture adds a wider field of view, built-in 2D-to-3D conversion and three-step electronic dimming. Head movement can blur the anchored screen at high brightness, and the frame can run warm after an hour.
    What people praise
    • Flat prism lenses show far fewer reflections
    • Real 3D adds depth to whatever is playing
    • Three-step electronic dimming blocks outside light well
    Common complaints
    • Head movement can blur the screen in anchor mode
    • Can get uncomfortably warm after about an hour

    36 sources
    Why it ranks
A wide field of view and a bright picture that is very sharp in the center make films and games feel big and immersive. Text can blur toward the edges, and the anchored screen can drift in 3DoF mode, which limits it as a monitor replacement.
    What people praise
    • Picture looks crisp and clear
    • Wider field of view makes viewing feel more cinematic
    • Bright screen, rated at 1250 nits
    Common complaints
    • Edges of the image can be very blurry
    • Anchored screen can slowly drift out of place

    Why it ranks
Hands-free point-of-view video, open-ear calls and music, and a choice of prescription, dark or transition lenses come in frames that feel like normal Ray-Bans. Meta AI can fail at basic tasks, and a default setting shares glasses data, camera included, with Meta.
    What people praise

    • Prescription, dark and transition lenses are available
    • Answer calls and play music without touching the phone
    Common complaints

    Why it ranks
Bright, crisp panels stay legible for reading text and documents, and electrochromic dimming can turn the lenses nearly black. Comfort is the trade-off: the right arm can run hot, the fit can feel tight, and the speakers divide opinion.
    What people praise
    • Crisp enough for reading text and documents
    • Electrochromic dimming makes the lenses nearly black
    • Built-in dials adjust for nearsightedness
    Common complaints

    Why it ranks
Plug-and-play setup with no apps or drivers, and a light 76 g frame that folds small, make these simple to carry and use. The top or bottom of the image can be cut off or blurry, and the nose pads can hurt over time.

    • Light enough at 76 g to wear through a full film
    • Folds down very compact
    Common complaints

    18 sources
    Why it ranks
Full-color displays in both lenses and a center-mounted camera for true point-of-view video fit in frames that can pass for regular glasses, and Android apps can run on them. Battery often lasts under an episode of a show in full AR use, and app choice is limited.
    What people praise

    • Center-mounted camera records true point-of-view video
    • Looks like regular glasses at first glance
    Common complaints
    • Battery can run out within one episode of a show
    • Few apps to choose from

    Why it ranks
A bright heads-up display with fast translation, easy navigation and a camera sits in a light 49 g frame that can be worn all day. Battery can drain in about two hours with translation on, notifications may need Bluetooth re-pairing, and the menus feel unpolished.
    What people praise

    • Light and balanced enough to wear all day
    • Notifications are easy to read on the display

    Why it ranks
Four hours of films can pass without discomfort or flicker, and the arms adjust to three positions for a better fit. Seeing the whole screen sharply can take patient adjustment, bright rooms can be difficult, and the companion app disappoints.
    What people praise
    • Comfortable through two full-length films in a row
    • No flicker or eye strain over hours of use
    • Travel case has a separate slot for the cable

    Why it ranks
A very sharp display and six-degree-of-freedom tracking let you place several screens around you, though they can still shift or jitter. The SpaceWalker app can be buggy, especially on Android, hand gestures can be unreliable, and the full setup leans on extra accessories and cables.
    What people praise
    • Very sharp display with crisp text
    • Full six-degree-of-freedom tracking for spatial use
    • Sleek frame that feels premium
    Common complaints
    • SpaceWalker app can crash or lose the cursor

How this list is ranked

Who is eligible
Every pair of smart glasses in our reviewed catalogue is included: display glasses for video and screens, and AI and camera glasses. Second listings of the same glasses are left out. The list opens on current models, those released in the last 2½ years (since Apr 2024); choose Include older models under Models to list them too. A product without a release date on record is always listed.
How they are ordered
By default, products are ordered by Ranking Net Score: points from reviews and discussions plus points from votes on BettaScore. Ties go to the product with more sources. Filtering or sorting renumbers the results from No. 1. Products without scored evidence stay Unranked and are not numbered.
Where the evidence comes from
251 public review sources across the matching products. Select a review topic on any card to see the quotes behind its points.
When it changes
The product list and review scores change only when we publish a reviewed update. Signed-in visitors can vote on each review topic (open a topic on a card): every vote adds or takes 0.1 points from that topic and from the Ranking Net Score straight away, and the order follows on the next page load. Votes are stored apart from review evidence, so they carry over between updates. Review evidence is from October 5, 2026.
Who pays for it
Nobody. BettaScore does not accept payment for placement. Each card shows review points and topic-vote points separately, even though their sum sets the default order.

What to look for in smart glasses

Start with the job. Display glasses work as a portable big screen for movies, games or work; AI and camera glasses add hands-free photos, audio and an assistant. The Features filters show which pairs have a see-through display, a camera or live translation.

Then compare what the evidence says about picture sharpness, comfort over long sessions, audio and battery, and how well the glasses connect to your phone, laptop or console.

Questions to take to every card on this page

  • Do you need a display, a camera, or both?
  • Will they fit comfortably, including with prescription lenses?
  • Do they work with the devices you'll connect?
  • How long does a charge last for your use?

Frequently asked questions

What does this pair of smart glasses list cover?
All reviewed smart glasses in our catalogue. Products with scored review evidence get a rank; the rest stay on the list, marked Unranked.
How is the default order calculated?
Ranking Net Score adds points from reviews and discussions to points from BettaScore votes, and each card shows both parts. A vote counts right away: it updates the card and can move the product in the list.
How do filters and sorting affect rank?
They apply to the whole list and renumber the results: scored matches start from No. 1, and products without scored review evidence stay Unranked. Filtering and sorting never change a product's review or vote points.
Why are some specifications missing?
BettaScore shows only the facts it has on record. An unknown value is not treated as No, and we never fill a missing specification or evidence section with a made-up claim.
