    Why it ranks

    Why it ranks
Mopping lifts sticky spills like ketchup, and the dock washes and dries the pads, empties the bin and holds large water tanks for fewer refills. Route planning can be unpredictable, leaving spots uncleaned and bumping obstacles on carpet.
    What people praise
    • Picks up pet hair and fine dust
    • Quick setup and a fast first map
    • Robot feels solid, not hollow or creaky
    Common complaints

    • Quiet enough to run at night
    • Parts come apart for easy cleaning
    • Remote sends it back to the dock

    • Runs quieter than rival robots
    • Maps a five-room house in minutes
    • App is stable for schedules and no-go zones

Most debris clears in a single pass, and it maps a home in minutes while steering around cords, shoes and pet bowls. Reliability is the trade-off: hardware faults and unstable firmware can lead to repeated failures and replacement units.
    What people praise
    • Simple, easy-to-understand app
    • Magnetic parts detach for easy cleaning
    • Runs quietly day to day

    Why it ranks

    What people praise
    • Simple one-touch operation
    • Picks up anything in its path

    Why it ranks
Vacuuming handles hard floors and surface debris on rugs, and one charge can cover a 1,000-square-foot floor. Mopping is the weak side: deep mode can leave floors wet, and the bin and mop pad need emptying and cleaning by hand.
    What people praise
    • Barely noticeable while it runs
    • App schedules rooms and sets no-go zones
    • Dust bin lifts out and filter rinses clean
    Common complaints

    Why it ranks
Lidar mapping is precise, obstacle avoidance works well, and it reliably finds its way back to the dock. Mopping suits light upkeep rather than tough stains, and the small water tank needs refilling on longer runs.
    What people praise
    • Strong value on a tight budget
    • Room-by-room settings in the app
    • Lets you block off areas digitally

    Why it ranks
Room-by-room cleaning follows a LiDAR map instead of random bouncing, and the dock empties the bin on its own. Mopping is light upkeep only, with no carpet sensing or pad lifting, so sticky grime may still need a hand mop.
    What people praise
    • Comes apart easily to clear clogs
    • Feature-rich app that stays simple
    • Dock takes up little floor space
    Common complaints
    • No carpet sensor or mop lifting

    What people praise
    • Strong overall pickup
    • App sets clean zones and keep-out zones

    Why it ranks
Pet hair pickup is a highlight, with a perfect score on flattened hair in carpet, and the dock handles mop washing, dust removal and water refills. Results can vary, though: debris may be left behind even on max suction, and mopping can barely wet the floor.
    What people praise
    • Lifts dried-on stains in few passes
    • Dust bag seals itself when removed
    • Brushes resist hair tangles
    Common complaints
    • No-go zones can be ignored

    Why it ranks
Vacuuming carries this one, pulling fine dust and pet hair from deep in carpet, and the base saves constant bin emptying. Mopping is a light wet wipe at best, and loose cables can still leave it stuck.
    What people praise
    • Suction works well
    • Months of daily use without faults
    • Base cuts out constant bin emptying
    Common complaints
    • Mopping adds little real cleaning

    Why it ranks
Hands-off dock care covers dust emptying, mop-pad washing and warm-air drying, and pickup handles crumbs and pet hair. Coverage is the catch: runs can skip random areas yet mark the job complete, and app setup can fail to connect.
    What people praise
    • Recharges and resumes where it stopped
    • Choice of vacuum, mop or combined modes
    • Moves quietly across wood floors

    Why it ranks
On its highest setting it clears human hair, dog hair and tracked-in dirt, and the dual spinning mops scrub dried food marks. Obstacle avoidance is the weak point: cables, socks and thin door thresholds can stop it in cluttered homes.
    What people praise
    • Quick, seamless pairing and setup
    • Dock handles most emptying and washing

    Why it ranks
Solid suction and brushes that stay free of hair and pet fur handle daily pickup, and the dock empties both the dustbin and the dirty mop water. Navigation can get confused under chairs, and some batteries may fail within months.
    What people praise
    • Solid build with easy-to-use water tanks
    • Works with Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant

What to look for in a robot vacuum

Start with your floors and how hands-off you want it to be: hard floors and rugs call for different strengths, and a dock that empties the bin, washes and dries the mop and refills water saves most of the upkeep.

Then compare what the evidence says about pickup on carpets and pet hair, mopping results, obstacle avoidance and getting stuck, the app, and how reliable the robot and its dock stay over time.

Questions to take to every card on this page

  • Does it handle your floors, rugs and pet hair?
  • Do you need mopping, and does it lift or remove the mop on carpet?
  • How much upkeep does the dock take off your hands?
  • Does it avoid cables, socks and pet mess, and get under your furniture?

How this list is ranked

Who is eligible
Every robot vacuum and vacuum-mop robot in our reviewed catalogue is included. Window-cleaning robots, mop-only robots and robot lawn mowers are left out, and so are second listings of the same robot (storefront and bundle listings). The list covers the models we track and opens on current ones: those our automated price checks found on sale new in the US. Where a check could not tell, a model released in the last 2½ years stays and an older one is hidden. The checks can be wrong (in a spot check about 9 in 10 on-sale verdicts held up, and about 3 in 4 not-found ones). Tick Include hidden models we track to see every model.
How they are ordered
By Ranking Net Score: points from reviews and discussions plus points from BettaScore votes, with ties going to the product with more sources. Filters and sorts renumber the results. A product without scored evidence yet is not listed; it joins once its reviews are scored.
