RING Doorbell 4

it's got the color pre-roll which is very handy

it's got a quick release battery which usually lasts you about a month or two I think about a couple of months

improved pre-roll color video

better motion detection

flexible power options (hardwired, battery, or solar)

a paid subscription is required to review recorded footage

its narrow field of view

it offers up 1080p HD video with two-way talk

it's got privacy controls

you can wire in rings battery doorbells like the ring 4 to your existing doorbell wires but what it will only do is be able to control your existing doorbell chime and will continuously charge the batteries

the ring doorbell 4 boasts a sleek and modern appearance that can seamlessly blend into any home exterior

this is the only battery doorbell that has a 4 second collar pre-roll which will start recording 4 seconds before motion has been detected

the only difference with the pre-roll footage is that instead of being 1080 hd footage like the normal footage from the ring 4 doorbell you get 720 footage so it's a little bit lower resolution

limited 84-degree vertical field of view

package detection that didn't work well

I find that the standard people detection feature does a great job to let you know when someone is at the front door

the Privacy Zone feature allows you to block out areas that you don't want to capture on your ring doorbell

it does have a two-way talk quick replies it helps you answer the door when you are busy

quick release rechargeable battery pack from Easy recharging that is a plus

you can customize your privacy settings

can be powered off batteries or an existing doorbell power supply
