Thoughts On The New Robotic Mowers Coming Out

  • Cutting & Edges+1 pts

The new edge trimmer on the GOAT A3000 looks actually practical, since having to finish up the edges manually every time is the one thing I still hate doing.

It has the Lels Pro, which is a dual lidar sensing system similar to what they use on autonomous vehicles and it can map out areas automatically for you.

They cut. They go towards the edge. They have great precision. They can go up hills.

LiDAR is an absolute game changer for many reasons.

Both of these initially mapped my backyard pretty easily. The auto-map features didn’t really work in my yard because my grass borders are patchy from shade, so the edges aren’t clean and obvious. But both were still reasonably easy to map manually
