    Another thing I did enjoy was I connected this to the Velra app and I was able to do all the firmware updates I needed. Very easy. So, it gives you everything you need to do in one spot.

    With just 8 speeds and a wide range, you won't get as granular shifts but you do have a better hill climbing gear.

    UL certifications should be standardized whether done by UL themselves or a separate testing agency like SGS, although I would have more confidence in UL than a random lab.

    Solid review, the UL2849 point is underrated. A lot of budget brands claim certifications from labs that basically rubber stamp anything. Actual UL lab testing costs significantly more and the failure rates they apply are stricter, so that distinction matters, especially for a battery you're storing indoors. The battery percentage display versus bars thing is also a real usability gap that more people should talk about. Bosch and Shimano prioritizing aesthetics over practical info on a screen you're glancing at while riding is a weird tradeoff for systems that cost way more. What's your main gripe so far?
