I tested both, and the GSD feels like a tank - for better and worse - compared to the QHL. The GSD is longer, heavier, and feels bulkier all around. Ended up going with the QHL, which is still plenty sturdy for my use. I wanted something specifically smaller and lighter than my previous xtracycle, so it can fit on a small elevator. I didn't actually need or want a tank, so your mileage may vary.
