The vacuum doesn't like throw rugs. If a throw rug has a tag hanging outside its perimeter, the high suction often sucks the tag into the roller and pulls the rug up and over behind it.
I got the vacuum error that it's lost while on the rug.
But you can't set the robot app on permanent vacuum only. Every time I run the app from my phone, I have to go into the app and say vacuum only.
First Impressions Of Roborock Saros 20 And Narwal
The vacuum performance is fine, I don't have much carpet in my house, they both meet my expectations.
I got a Saros 20 and a Flow 2 to test and see what works better for me. I'll keep one, probably buy a second one, and return the other. My previous bot is an S7MVU. I'm not a pro reviewer, I'm not a vacuum nerd, so don't expect much from me, but I thought I'd share my thoughts. I haven't really put them in scientific or any type of controlled comparison, all my opinions are subjective at this point. I have them both set to do two passes of every room in vacuum/mop mode. I've run them both with standard suction power, the Flow 2 with a "slightly wet" mop pad and the Saros with a moderate water mop setting, both are set for max suction on the dock, both are set to use hot water for washing the mop. On both the Saros 20 and the Flow 2: The vacuum performance is fine, I don't have much carpet in my house, they both meet my expectations. Both of them navigate my home fine, both of them avoid most obstacles that my S7MVU got hung up on, they both get hung up on my coffee table legs as did the S7. Obstacles include wires, socks/shoes, items on the floor, furniture. I gave them both the same test of doing a zone clean after my cat had vomited chunky undigested food. They both tagged it as something akin to "wet dirt" and were about to run over it and attempt to clean it before I intervened. I was hoping that they would both avoid the mess all together; disappointment there. The extending mop pad on each of them did a good job getting tight against my baseboards. The Saros 20: The Roborock app is great, I like it more than the Narwal app. I like the cloud based Home Assistant integration as well. I have not tried the Matter support, but I read it's subpar compared to the HA cloud integration. The corner sweeping is much better, I can see it getting more into corners. I like the design of the water tank latches. The mop performance is much better than the S7MVU Vibra pad and good enough for me. Narwal Flow 2: I find the app kind of lacking. I haven't tested the Matter integration yet, but smart home integration is important and I do plan on it. The mopping is better than the Saros 20, it cleaned up stains the Saros struggled with after multiple passes. I think it uses less water than the Saros as well. The Saros would empty 2/3 to 3/4 of its fresh water tank, while the Flow 2 uses like 1/3 to 1/2 of its water tank. I'm confident the Flow 2 could clean my house twice on one tank, whereas the Saros will not. I might be able to play with settings more on the Saros to change this. My concern is more around cleaning a larger home as we plan on moving. I like the mop more in theory since it's less likely to spread filth. The water tank latches by spring force with bendable plastic, not an actual latch mechanism, I feel this could break over time as the plastic gets old/brittle, but in reality who will have the vacuum long enough for it to get brittle? The vacuum is much quieter, even the mechanical noise of the wheels rolling across the floor is quieter, I find the Flow 2 much less noticeable when it's running. My wife appreciated this as well. Right now I'm leaning towards keeping the Flow 2 because mopping performance and noise are more important to me, but I will likely do some attempts at controlled tests that apply to my environment before making my final decision.
The Roborock app is great, I like it more than the Narwal app.

Saros 20 Sonic Vs 20 Obstacle Avoidane Mopping
I had the Saros 20, amazing obstacle avoidance.
Saros 20 Sonic Vs 20 Obstacle Avoidane Mopping
I can always schedule Roborock for tasks (daily) when I’m not at home, and it can complete the clean without needing any rescue so far.
First Impressions Of Roborock Saros 20 And Narwal
The Saros 20 water bins feel much more solid than the Flow 2's.
We have small rugs, some of them very thick which I wouldn't expect it to go over, but others aren't as big, and I actually had the i7, a much older vacuum, cover it effortlessly whilst this just got stuck...
Saros 20 Sonic Vs 20 Obstacle Avoidane Mopping
I have had the Saros 20 since launch. I can count on one hand how many times I have had to intervene.
Saros 20 Sonic Vs 20 Obstacle Avoidane Mopping
Obstacle avoidance is excellent. I’ve only heard it bump into things a few times, but it’s rare.
It's the only vacuum that I've actually set and forgot, no joke.
The app is fantastic.
Emptying the dust bin is still loud but muffled a little from my last vacuum.
