The Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra is a flagship robot vacuum and mop with 10,000Pa suction and sonic mopping that scrubs at 4,000rpm. Its mop auto-lifts 20mm to clear carpets, and the dock washes the mop with hot water and dries it with heated air.

the brushes are not the best at preventing that lol but for that i just turn it upside down once a week and use a pair of scissors to cut the hair!

The dock maintenance is very very easy and takes less than 5 minutes once you have done it once.

Roborock S8 Maxv Ultra Review From A 7cat

  • Vacuuming & Carpets+1 pts

I only have 2 cats and 2 clean adults so my challenge is less but this unit is amazing!!! The “V” is worth the extra money. I especially love the sonic mopping with a very high lift and smaller spinning mop that reaches into corners and along my baseboards. The larger spinning pads could not get into the corners because of a larger radius. The Dirt Detection is great! I’ve seen it go back and hit an area twice to make sure it got it all cleaned up. My other mop never did that. I don’t have to check my floors. I know they are pristine. I hope it lasts for years because the newer robots don’t seem to be improving much.

Nothing beats any model of S8 for vacuuming rugs and carpets, especially if there is a lot of fur and hair.

If You Merged The S8 Maxv Ultra And Q Revo

I’m driving myself crazy reading all the reviews and comparisons… please help me decide! I’m torn between: Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra vs Roborock Q Revo Edge/Curve vs maybe saving a bit more and getting the Saros 10R??? What I like about each: S8 MaxV Ultra: Great reviews about its vacuuming power. Excellent navigation. But I’m worried that the dock station needs more maintenance. No spinning mop pads. Anti-tangle brush isn’t as good (from what I’ve read). Q Revo Edge/Curve: I love that the dock needs very minimal maintenance. Has spinning mop pads and anti tangle brush. But the obstacle avoidance seems pretty bad from a lot of people’s feedback. Then I started thinking: isn’t there a model that combines what I want from both of these… and I found the Saros 10R. So now my big question is: is it worth paying more to get something that’s kind of a mix of the best features of these two robots? Or is that just overkill and I should stick with one of the Roborocks? My situation: 110 m² single-story house. Laminate floors. A few rugs. No thresholds. One cat. Two kids, so there are random toys and stuff on the floor pretty often. If you have any of these models (especially in a similar household), I’d really appreciate your real-life experience and what you’d pick in my situation.

Basically, this thing is trying to make sure you never have to touch it.

The dual brush roll is a legit upgrade. Unlike most robot vacuums that use one brush, this one has two counter rotating rollers that actually prevent hair tangling and grab more debris in one pass.

  • Navigation & Obstacle Avoidance+5 pts

it's supposed to see and avoid obstacles like cables, pet messes, and random socks instead of running over them
