First Ebike First Ride

The battery really started to drop quickly though.

I decided I wanted an e-bike at the end of March. My first thought was I would just go on Amazon and get a $5-$600 e-bike and ride it around and see how much I would enjoy it. After doing some research and seeing broken frames and battery fires I decided that wasn’t a great idea. So off to YouTube (I’m a sucker for YouTube reviews). I saw quite a few reviews on Lectric bikes and decided the Xpress 750 was the one for me. Stared at it on their website for a couple of days and on 4/1 they threw in free panniers, a lock and mirrors. I pulled the trigger and purchased it. Today I took it for my first ride. At 9:00 AM I was off to see how far I could go. My favorite dispensary is about 15 miles away so I thought I’d head that way and see what happens. Well I had a strong wind at my back that I didn’t notice till I turned around. Made it all the way to the dispensary in PAS 2. I maintained a speed of around 14MPH with very little effort and not even a dent in the battery bar. Then the ride home I felt the wind. Had to be at least 20MPH right into my face. I was surprised how easy it was, using PAS 4, to maintain 14MPH into this breeze, still pretty relaxed riding. The battery really started to drop quickly though. Made it home after 31 miles with two yellow bars still lit. Overall it was a great ride. I’m really impressed with how little effort you need to maintain a decent speed. The seat held up and with all the adjustments you can make with the handle bar you can find a comfortable position. I give this a bike a 10 out of 10 for our first ride. Think I’ll ride it to my friends birthday party tomorrow, another 30 miles or so round trip.

At level three throttle only, I think I'm at level five. I pedal. I can get 26 miles, 30 mi maybe.

What Kind Of Hydraulic Brakes Does Lectric Use

I didn't install the rear because the internal frame hose routing adds complications I didn't want to deal with.

Should I Get The Lectric Xpress 750 Step Through

  • Value & Support+1 pts

Parts are easy to get, and most repair shops also work on them.

  • Noise-1 pts

It's a bit louder than the 500-watt version, but it's certainly tolerable.

Great Service From Lectric On Xpress 750

I went to my local bike shop to have it fixed and they did so by disconnecting the sensor and repairing / adjusting the brakes with new pads etc.

It actually gets the job done. It doesn't lag or whine. It just moves.

  • Comfort & Fit+5 pts

As for comfort, it's not luxury plush, but it's set up smartly. The slightly forward geometry makes it easy to stay active while still being relaxed.

I like the fact that it doesn't scream ebike. If you weren't paying attention, you might not even know that it was electric. But overall, it's got a nice look to it. simple, unfussy, and not overdesigned.
