Lectric Xpeak 20 Buying Questions

  • Comfort & Fit-1 pts

I know this is old, you probably made your purchase but if anyone else is looking? I recently got one to speed up my commute, and I have to put the seat up moderately high to be comfortable on it at 5'10". My 5'4" friend can ride it uncomfortably, the manufacturer *says* 5'4" to 6'5" but the riding experience is more like 5'6" to 6'5" based on letting my friends try it, so you should be good. Overall I've been very happy with this bike after putting a ton of miles on it. I wish I had bought the long range, but I'm happy enough with the medium range I've got- watch your incline though, I was going on a downward gradient without noticing and thought I had waaay more battery than I did when I turned around once. Good rule of thumb is if it's easy to maintain 20+ speeds with PA 2 or 3 you are probably on a decline and you should assume it has about half the battery it says it has when you're cruising along like that. My only real gripe with this bike is that 28mph speed limiter bullshit makes it go down hills slower than an unpowered mountain bike- which led to a hilarious driver interaction the other day when I was flying on my MTB and got yelled at for a too fast ebike (I was in the bike lane there were no other bikes, I do watch what I'm doing and try to mind my manners that guy was just mad I was matching him on a bike I think). Legal e-bikes can’t even do what that dingdong thought I was doing. This might be a pro for some people though, you will not be having any wildly o
