Lectric Xp Lite 20 Review A Lightweight Folding

  • Battery & Range-1 pts

It's very much a light-duty option—great for apartments, short commutes, and errands, but not built for steep hills or long, fast rides.

This is especially important if you like to pedal at 18 to 20 mph, where your feet will be spinning like crazy.

  • Comfort & Fit-1 pts

The XP4 pedals much more comfortably even at unlocked speeds.

Xp4 Versus Xp Lite 20 Long Range Small Female

  • Motor, Assist & Gears-1 pts

Hey, I'm interested in hearing people's perspectives here. I'm ready to commit to my first e-bike, and since I'm based in Arizona, Lectric is an obvious choice. I'm a petite (very short and light) female who is used to cycling in the city on a standard hybrid road bike and wants to switch to e-biking for the summer months in Arizona and for longer rides. I won't really be using it for exercise in this context since it will be over 100 degrees for five months straight. Mostly for short trips around town (0-5 miles), with the occasional longer ride (maybe 10-20 miles each way). The terrain is mostly flat with some dirt alleys and dirt canal paths. Based on reviews, people almost unanimously say the XP4 is amazing in all respects and a huge upgrade over the other XPs, especially due to the torque sensor, and that it handles bumps much better than the Lite 2.0. Based on that alone, the XP4 probably makes the most sense for most people. I also realize the Lite 2.0 is a fixed gear—I'm not sure if that will annoy me because I do like to feel some resistance when I pedal. But I am a really small person who can probably lift the Lite 2.0 but not the XP4, and I'll be riding in an urban environment with a lot of stop-and-go and sudden maneuvers. With that in mind, would you expect the Lite 2.0 to be a better fit for me despite the XP4 being objectively better? Is the Lite 2.0 noticeably more agile? If it's a close call, I'll probably test ride both. (Does anyone know if all the online promos and referral codes apply if you buy in-store?) Thanks for your insight. UPDATE: I test rode the XP4 and XP Lite 2.0 and had absolutely no question that the XP4 was better overall. The torque sensor and lack of ghost pedaling are totally worth it. I also test drove a few other brands' non-folding e-bikes and loved the Surface 604 Rook and an excellent Big Sur ebike. But both were over twice the price of the Lectric XP4, so I chose the Lectric since this is my first e-bike. Getting a maybe 25% smoother ride on my first e-bike but paying over 200% more just seemed silly. I figured if I want something better in a couple of years, I can upgrade when the technology is even better and I have a stronger sense of what I like and dislike in an e-bike. Thanks everyone for all the tips and insight.
