Evo80 had a batch with RGB issues as well in the past. Although that was fixed now (they changed the PCB manufacturer and improved QC).

Evoworks Evo80 X Noctua

  • Design, Lighting & Controls+1 pts

This is a post about an Evoworks Evo80 keyboard paired with Noctua-themed keycaps. The build uses Keygeek Neo Oat switches and Drop + MiTo MT3 Noctua keycaps. The poster describes themselves as a big Noctua fanboy who had to buy the keycap set when it released, but it wasn't matching their Yunzii keyboard well. After seeing all the good reviews of the Evo80, they decided it was time for an upgrade. They say the color match is on point and calling it an understatement because it's 1:1. This is their current dreambuild and will be their daily driver for a long time. They also share their keyboard journey: Ducky Shine 5, then Yunzii AL71, and now Evoworks Evo80.

Evo80 By Evoworks This Is What A Prebuilt Should

  • Typing Feel & Switches-1 pts

the FR4 plate combined with the metal leaf spring gaskets does get a little bouncy when stripped completely bare.

  • Software & Customization0 pts

please, for the love of the hobby, just make boards VIA compatible out of the box. Nobody wants to hunt down a JSON file before they can start remapping keys.

  • Design, Lighting & Controls+1 pts

The anodization is excellent and the overall design is understated and minimal in the best way possible.

the AER switches sound and feel absolutely solid they're very Clocky and complement the cases sound

I like this system because it makes it very easy to Tinker with the internals in boards that have a lot of different plate foam and mounting options

One thing I cannot find, so I assume it doesn't fully support it, is a fully QMK-able firmware.
