Finally received the Eufy Smart Lock (2025 version) yesterday. The product itself looks and functions really nicely! Got no problem with the Eufy app and the smart lock itself is smooth. The fingerprint sensor works fast for me, and you can add more fingerprints per person (Access). I'm using 4 fingerprints just on my own and I think I can add more, and I added another access for my wife and daughter. Installation is easy, the manual has clear instructions. I only had a small problem with the door itself due to adjustment but it isn't really that hard for DIY. I'll be keeping the plastic cover on the front panel for a bit, since I don't intend to use the codes anyways. We really like the product, finally we don't have to bring those pesky keys with us. And to those asking what's the difference between the old model and this 2025 version, the truth is I have no idea since it's my first smart lock purchase. I'll be updating on the battery life once I get there.

When the door is locked and I press the number pad from outside, absolutely nothing happens -- no lights come on, no numbers appear.
when I try to unlock the door through the app, it doesn't unlock and just shows an "operation failed" message

it won't unlock until I enter the numeric code. Then the next time I try my fingerprint it works on the first attempt. So it's only intermittent, but it's annoying when it happens

I tried following the quick start guide and managed to get the rear plate turned the wrong way. As a result, the wires got crimped and everything went completely wrong.

It sounds like the connection between the front panel and the rear board is either broken or loose.

The very tiny wires in the harness that goes through the door aren't properly protected and are way too easy to break, and when that happens it causes exactly these kinds of problems.

I can't say for sure how much battery life is left since it's only showing old battery bar icons in the app.
It's not waterproof. I don't think it can handle rain because it's only rated IP53.
