Update So I'm 100 Hours Of Printing Into My Elegoo
On every filament I threw at both machines (PLA, PETG, TPU 95A, NYLON + Carbon Fiber, Polycarbonate) everything printed great with no major issues.
the Elegoo is super loud. Like I'm shocked I can still hear it 2 rooms over in my house
My Personal Review On The Centauri Carbon
As for the print quality/speed, I like the quality it prints in. Overall the prints feel smooth
The camera inside the 3D printer is low rez
The first thing I noticed is that the Centauri Carbon's setup is LOUD
Centauri Carbon Review From Someone Who Refuses
My first print was the scraper — it printed effortlessly and matched the quality of my X1C.
Final update.... After the latest actions of the company and the lack of ongoing support they have provided including the actions which means they are pushing a new model out but are likely cancelling features they promised for the old. I know they say it's still coming... But we know it's not. Do not buy elegoo. Just go for bambu who have proven support. Centauri Carbon vs Bambu Lab – A Practical Comparison (*50 hours on the Centauri Carbon vs. 6000+ hours on Bambu Lab printers*) # Introduction I’ve had my Centauri Carbon (CC) for a few days now. I bought it on a whim and initially regretted the decision, knowing it likely wouldn’t match my Bambu Lab (BBL) printers — of which I own six. But after using it, I’ve been pleasantly surprised. I’ll be referencing Bambu Lab a lot here, so I’ll abbreviate it to BBL throughout. This comparison is based on ~50 hours of CC usage and 9000 hours with 5 BBL printers, so while it’s not perfectly balanced, it gives a useful perspective for experienced users. I dont print using technical filaments. I 95% print using PLA or PETG. Someone who prints high temp filaments will have varying opinions. I run an etsy shop - and work fulltime in another job alongside it. Printers that work first time every time is very important to me. I have no interest in tweaking, modifying or making my printers look good. I need quality and reliability. # Unboxing & Setup Unboxing the CC was better than any of my BBL printers. It was simple, with very little setup required — though not quite as polished. As someone who skips the instructions (I know, my bad), I didn’t realize I needed the printer’s IP address to connect. It would’ve been nice if it supported network discovery. By contrast, my first BBL needed multiple recalibrations, this has been needed on all my BBL printers. The CC worked right out of the box. * CC Setup: 8/10 * BL Setup: 6/10 ➡️ Winner: Elegoo # First Print Quality My first print was the scraper — it printed effortlessly and matched the quality of my X1C. I have now printed many files that I print regularly for my etsy shop. I couldn’t tell any difference in output between the X1C, P1P, A1, and the CC. * CC Quality: 9/10 * BL Quality: 9/10 ➡️ Draw # Usability Coming from BL, the CC's usability has some quirks: * No preloaded filament profiles – annoying. * Front-mounted USB port – easily knocked. * Loading filament – hard to see if it’s extruding (I keep a flashlight nearby). * I once started a print without the filament fully loaded — something BL detects and warns you about more effectively. That said, I prefer the side-mounted filament on the CC over BBL’s top-loading design, even if it’s a bit fiddly to insert. I do however much prefer the AMS systems by far. ➡️ Winner: Narrow win for Bambu Lab # Camera * Better than the A1 and P1. * Worse than the X1C. * However, more responsive than the X1C’s camera — it loads faster. ➡️ Winner: Narrow win for Elegoo # Build Quality BL printers feel more premium overall, even the budget ones. The most noticeable differences are: * Print head housing * Belt mechanisms That said, the CC’s print bed actually feels higher quality. ➡️ Winner: Bambu Lab # Noise levels The fan noise from the Carbon Combo (CC) is noticeably louder compared to the X1C. While the overall printing noise—such as head movements—feels slightly quieter on the CC, this is based on my personal impression rather than any objective measurement. When both printers are in the same room, the CC stands out more in terms of audible noise. However, what matters most to me is vibration noise, as my daughter’s bedroom is directly below my print room. In this regard, the CC performs better—I’ve noticed significantly less vibration transmitted through the floor compared to the X1C. EDIT - @Lundii kindly suggested changing the fan settings from

Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 Vs Creality K2 Combo

Camera is not bad to check on print while working on pc
Help Me Decide Between Bambu Lab P1s And Centauri
And now it’s basically a set and forget printer.
Elegoo Carbon Centauri Vs Qidi Q1 Pro
it's been running pretty much non-stop since
Is The Elegoo Centauri Carbon Really That Good
it's a pretty solid Bambu clone with a few early issues that hopefully have been or are being fixed.

Just follow the default profiles and you'll get great prints out of the box.

I have been amazed by the performance Elegoo has gotten from their machines. It is near P1S quality
I don’t think I’ve had a single failure printing exclusively ASA.
My Detailed Elegoo Centauri Carbon 1 Cc1 Timeline
Far better print quality than my P1S!
Yeah, that has basically been my view of Elegoo and the CC1. Mine worked awesome for 2 months. Far better print quality than my P1S! Then it started having problems. But Elegoo was very cordial and sent me out replacement parts from China which arrived in about 3 weeks. So far so good, it was putting out good prints again until I messed up and printed without the build plate on and got a blob of death which was my fault. So they're sending me the board in the extruder and said it would be 10 to 20 days. Actually my P1S has had even more problems than the CC1! Only my A1's have been problem free for thousands of hours. And I bought another CC1 a week ago and hope it doesn't have any problems but I wouldn't bet on it. But I really like its superior functional prints for something I sell so it's kind of worth it. We'll see how it goes.
Centauri Carbon Review From Someone Who Refuses
I ran a full spool through it over 26 hours this weekend and I'm also very happy with the results.
Immensely Frustrated With My Centauri Carbon
My benchies have always turned out flawlessly, but most prints fail.
About 80 percent of prints fail.
Bambu P1s W Ams Or Elegoo Centauri Carbon
I'm planning to buy a 3D printer next month after years of thinking about it. It will be my first printer, and I want something that won't need upgrades once I get comfortable with printing. After looking at forums, videos, and comments, the two that seem best for my budget, ease of use, and speed are the Bambu P1S and the Elegoo Centauri Carbon. I'm stuck choosing between them. The Elegoo is cheaper, but it doesn't have an AMS yet, and I don't know how much it will cost or how long I'd have to wait. A lot of people warn about the Elegoo's long-term reliability and print consistency compared to Bambu. Bambu's firmware update earlier this year concerns me, but I'm not sure how big a deal it is. The CC is apparently louder, especially the fans. There might be other things I'm missing. The price difference isn't a huge issue, and neither is the wait for the CC if it's the best option. They seem evenly matched, but the P1S's possible lockdown or always-online requirement versus the Elegoo's lack of AMS, potential reliability issues, and noise give me pause. Anyone with more experience have advice?

The CC comparatively has been a joy. Over 200hrs on the CC and barely have had it for 2 weeks.
