That said, this board offers the best typing experience Corsair has ever made — even better than the K70 PRO TKL.

On the red 10G ports, it would miss inputs and have lag, but on the USB 5 blue ports, it worked fine, except it sometimes wouldn't turn on during boot and I'd have to replug it.

Vanguard Pro 96 Vs K100 Rgb Optical
I own both keyboards. I bought a refurbished K100 a few months ago, then got the V96 at launch and gave the K100 to my brother-in-law, so I can't do a direct comparison anymore. Hall Effect doesn't affect the force needed to press keys—that's all in the switch. I didn't notice any difference in keypress feel between the two. Regarding switches: the V96 Pro I have has much quieter switches than the K100. The K100 was very clacky, but the V96 Pro is pretty quiet. I've since swapped the switches for even quieter ones that are nearly inaudible. I've wanted to try the dual activation feature but haven't come up with a good use for it yet. The V96 isn't supported in iCue yet (coming soon), so I have to use the Web Hub for control and configuration, which is fine but seems to lack some features I hope iCue will bring. Otherwise, I love this keyboard. It does take some getting used to the 96 layout though. I definitely miss dedicated Home/End/PgDn/PgUp keys.

The real culprit is iCUE Web, which is obviously not ready for this product.
