Despite what the password prompt says, somewhere around 12 characters worked for me.
I wear it on my left index finger rotated so that the display faces straight up, which puts the bump to the side. Doesn't seem to be a problem so far.

I just put it on to charge tonight after using it for 6 days and it still had 15% so 7 days could definitely be done
Overall I have no complaints about it works great and it's comfortable.
