Brevillesage Oracle Jet Big Disappointment
Darker roasts are a bit better, but generally, the yield is watery—I'm not sure how to describe it.
Breville Oracle Jet Using It With Separate
I mostly got good espressos, but it wasn't very consistent.
I mostly got good espressos, but it wasn't very consistent.
There's also no denying that it makes a great coffee, although it was a little messier than some other machines I've tried.
Overall: Pro: Super responsive touchscreen
In Need Of Help So I Have The New Breville Oracle
A frequent issue with the auto tamper is that the whole puck spins. If you slightly wet the basket before dosing, it'll grip better and won't cause channelling.
Breville Oracle Jet Trouble Shooting And Bean Type
So far, I've really enjoyed it, but I've noticed a few things - the timing for each shot is inconsistent.
At the same time, I understand the Jet optimizes shots using the double shot basket, which is fine, but when I try to switch to a single shot, it takes over a minute to pull through, whereas the double shot takes 30-45 seconds. Does anyone have experience with this? Is this normal, or is there something better for a newbie like me, or should I just stick it out and keep learning with this machine? Also, I was using the wand to froth milk, and for some reason, the touch screen acted like I changed the grind size, even though I didn't touch it.
Overall: Con: Espresso experts and drinkers who like to tinker will get bored with the Oracle Jet quickly
Overall: Pro: The machine heats the steam wand to the ideal temperature for milk, and yes, you can even customize how dense you want your foam
Overall: Con: The grinder didn’t adjust smoothly, which made it difficult to get the level we wanted
Overall: Pro: The milk frothing is automatic too: Just fill the pitcher to one of the etched-on lines, place it on the machine with the steam wand in it, and press the frothing icon
Overall: Pro: The touchscreen walks you through the entire brewing process—be it espresso, a latte, or a cappuccino—and times how long it takes to pull shots, offering guidance and grind adjustment recommendations if they’re too fast or slow
