the markings turned out great. They're pretty fine, and I wasn't sure how well they would turn out, but they look good.

if anything happened to one of the parts in the tool head of this machine, the whole printer is down for maintenance.

it was only saving me like one filament swap, which was absolutely not worth the added 7 plus hours of print time.

  • Software & Connectivity-5 pts

I think it might be the time to add a time savings mode to the slicing options in Bamboo Studio.

The reliability has been rock solid in my testing. Zero mispicks after over 5,000 hot changes.

And I haven't needed to do any maintenance on the Vortex changer.

This print saved a total of 227 g of filament poop, which is great considering how small this print actually is.

The H2C, though, uses multiple nozzles loaded in a rack on the side, and it goes through and switches each one out per the color it's already using and cuts down on waste almost entirely.

Running a bunch of calibrations just prior to a firmware update is kind of silly because it's good practice to run a calibration after a firmware update.

Waste evacuation is something to consider. The chute comes out the back. So if you have a catch can you need to get access to it.

I plan to place it on the top of a standard counter (correction, 28" deep counter top as shown), and have the AMS unit(s) in cabinets above (or perhaps below?)

And so far, this printer has shown a level of reliability. That means I'm going to just design and print.

One thing I have said to Bamboo Lab in the past is the reason for buying their printer is that I do not want to tinker.

This print clearly shows the overall quality you can expect from the H2C. There is some very minor stringing visible on the blue pieces, but it's minimal and likely indicates that the blue filament could benefit from drying. The orange pieces, however, are effectively perfect.

we should be able to queue up our next print while the current one's active. So, I'd like to see that here without having to install some server and client application.

Stuff like ASA and the like need quite a bit of room. You can do the charcoal filter on the unit but air space is still needed.
